Chris is the CEO of Meerkat Cyber, a firm dedicated to cybersecurity and the Department of Defense’s Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) framework. As a trained aeronautical and astronautical engineer who complemented his undergraduate work with a law degree, Chris finds the marriage of technology and regulatory policy fascinating.
During his three-decade career, Chris has held roles including Senate policy analyst and Chief Technology Officer for a cybersecurity firm, and he has obtained the highest levels of certification possible through the Department of Defense CMMC program: Certified CMMC Assessor, Certified CMMC Professional, and Certified CMMC Instructor.
Chris has also spent decades as a technical writer. Aside from authoring 100s of patent applications for highly technical inventions, Chris is the named inventor on numerous patents, and has served as a technical writer for Nobel laureates, international thought leaders, and numerous universities. Most recently, he has been engaged by Microsoft to write the CMMC implementation guide.
