1.   Artificial Intelligence

Together with machine learning/deep learning/IoT and approaches like statistical methods, computational intelligence, and symbolic AI, artificial intelligence refers to the human-like abilities of machines to make decisions and learn. From intelligent business solutions and virtual assistants to smartphones and self-driving cars, AI is already everywhere. AI is the future.

2.   Quantum Computing

Using quantum bits (qubits) instead of binary digits (bits), quantum computers are able to solve more complex problems. With the extensive ongoing research, we may be close to witnessing quantum computing in reality. It is expected to revolutionize how we approach cryptography, forecasting, aviation, and data analysis/interpretation.

3.   Extended Reality (XR)

XaaS refers to all the tools, services, technology, and applications available directly on the Internet or the cloud on-demand, which is cheaper than buying services directly from a provider.

7.   Voice-as-User Interface (VUI)

A VUI makes it possible to interact with computers through speech. In fact, virtual assistants like Siri and Alexa have become household names now. Made all the more powerful with AI and ML, VUIs can help businesses seamlessly optimize tasks in a human-centric fashion and get things done while the VUI learns and improves. Soon enough, it is sure to become a part of most software- business and otherwise.

8.   Multiexperience

On average, one person owns 3.2 devices. With all the different kinds of devices around, apps now need to be built to run on different platforms without breaking out. Introduced in 2019, multiexperience aims to create a unique, smooth experience for each device/stream/channel using multisensory and multi-touchpoint interfaces and modalities (touch, voice, gesture.) Each device should render consistently.

9.   Cybersecurity Mesh

Cybersecurity mesh is a cyber defense strategy that independently secures devices within their own perimeters (instead of securing an entire IT environment within a single perimeter) using firewalls and other network protection tools. This is a great way to secure sensitive data and avoid cybercrime, saving on the average cost of $2.9 million spent on cyber attacks.

10. Cloud-Native Platforms (CNPs)

CNPs are scalable and make for a better way to develop, build, and launch apps capitalizing on the benefits of cloud computing. CNPs bring together microservices, cloud platforms, smart data analysis tools, declarative APIs, and continuous delivery into one seamless ecosystem.
